About Us

 

Our lab is focused on understanding how environmental change and anthropogenic stressors are impacting the health of marine mammals and their food webs. We use a combination of chemical tracers, telemetry, and ‘omic technologies to characterize habitat use, feeding ecology, contaminant exposure and health, with research in the Northeastern Pacific, St Lawrence Estuary and Canadian Arctic. We work closely with Indigenous communities, NGOs, and other agencies to ensure that our research is relevant and supports the conservation and recovery of valued marine ecosystem components.
